Cumbrian rugby league players selected for Scotland training camp

Four players from Cumbria have been selected to take part in Scotland Rugby League’s training camp.

Megan Mayhew-Beach and Rebecca White from Workington Town and Nicola Benson and Imogen Smillie from Barrow Raiders have been selected to attend a training camp for Scotland’s 2025 international season.

A spokesperson for Workington Town said: “Congratulations to our Town Ladies , Becca White and Megan Mayhew-Beach who have been picked to represent Scotland.

“Awesome effort girls and good luck from everyone at Workington Town.”

The four women are the latest to be selected for the Scotland team with Alex Woodall of Maryport and Fraser Murray of Cockermouth Titans selected for the Students 4-44 defeat to GB Police on Saturday, April 26.

Workington Town currently play in League One with Widnes Vikings, Wakefield Trinity and Halifax Panthers.

Last season they won League Two and the Championship Plate.

Barrow Raiders play in the Super League against Wigan Warriors, Leeds Rhinos and St Helens.
