A man has been sentenced for a number of sexual offences at Carlisle Crown Court.
Jacob Corrie, 31, was sentenced to six years four months after pleading guilty on April 16, to the following offences:
- Nine counts of sexual activity with a child
- Eight counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity
- Two counts of sexual communication with a child

The offences took place in the Carlisle area in 2013 and 2014 against two victims under 16.
Detective Constable Rebecca Lynch from Cumberland CID said “Corrie initially denied the offences in interview, before pleading guilty and was aware of his victims ages when he committed the offences.
“We hope that this sentencing sends a clear message to survivors of sexual abuse.
