Cumbria Police has arrested a man after they crashed with a fire engine on the A595 at Calder Bridge, drove away from the scene and were over the drink drive limited.
The man was tracked down on Friday, April 11, to a property he was renting where he was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
As well as drink driving after providing a reading more than double the limit.
The driver a man in his 20s from the Hartlepool area was released on bail to allow time for further enquiries to be made.
