The countdown has begun for Race the Tide as limited early bird tickets remain.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of one of Cumbria’s most iconic landmarks, Muncaster Castle, racers will scrabble past the historic venue on August 8-10, in one of the most thrilling all-terrain obstacle races.

Ewan Frost-Pennington, founder of Race the Tide and part of the family that has called Muncaster Castle home for over 800 years, says: “What started as a group of friends having fun has grown into a crazy community of over 400 people.
“It’s an event like no other, and we can’t wait to welcome both returning and new runners this year.”
Race the Tide is no ordinary 10K. Runners will wade through rivers, scramble up hills, crawl through mud, conquer rope bridges, fences, and slides, and push their limits through a specially designed obstacle course all while trying to beat the incoming tide.
With those who love a bit of fun, fancy dress is allowed and encouraged.
Race the Tide isn’t just about the race it’s an unforgettable weekend of adventure and celebration with on-site camping or comfortable indoor stays.

After conquering the course, participants and supporters can celebrate with an evening of great food and traditional dancing.
Whether you’re racing, cheering, or just looking for a weekend of fun, Race the Tide promises an epic experience for all.
With limited early bird tickets still available, now is the time to book before they disappear.
