A595: Cumbria Police name ‘dearly loved dad’ who died after motorbike crash as family pay tribute

Cumbria Police has released the name of a man who died following a motorcycle crash, in Kirkby in Furness.

Shortly before 2pm on March 6, police responded to reports of a crash on the A595 at Dove Bank.

The incident involved a motorbike being ridden by the man who died, as well as a black Nissan Qashqai and a second motorbike.

Police have named the man as Brian Evans, 57, from Dalton.

Mr Evans died on March 11, at Preston Royal Hospital.

Mr Evans’ family has paid tribute to the family man.

His family said: “Brian was a dear husband of Anita, dearly loved dad of Colette, much loved “Pops” of Ebonie, and a much-loved friend to many.”

A service will take place on Tuesday 1 April 2025 at Thorncliffe Crematorium at 11.30am. Family flowers only please.

Police are still appealing for information and witnesses to come forward.
