A multi-vehicle crash on the M6, in Cumbria, has caused the major road to be blocked, police have said.

At 8pm on Sunday, March 23, Cumbria Police confirmed they were investigating reports of a multi-vehicle crash on the M6.

Police have said the incident occurred northbound at junction 44.

The motorway is currently temporarily blocked and police have urged drivers to find alternative routes to take.
