Three Fire Stations were called out as a farms outbuilding caught fire.
The call came on March 14 at 15:05 with Alston, Penrith and Lazonby mobilised to an outbuilding fire in Garrigill.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus with main jets fought the fire externally due to potential roof collapse.

A spokesperson for Penrith Fire Stations said: “Rural incidents like this pose challenges to crews. In this case, we were lucky to have a river running through the farm.
“Alston crew, with the assistance of the farmers, set up a portable pump to supply the water to the incident prior to our arrival.
“We were then able to get straight to work and also set up another pump to redirect fire water run off reducing contaminants entering the river.”
They also added: “Crewing at our rural stations can be challenging and the Alston crew did an absolutely amazing job with minimal crew before Penrith and Lazonby could get there to support them.”
