Whitehaven and Workington MP, Josh MacAlister and Cumberland Council Leader Mark Fryer welcomed the Devolution Minister to West Cumbria.

The Devolution Minister Jim McMahon was in West Cumbria where he met with his parliamentary college and the Cumberland Council leader.

Whitehaven and Workington MP, Josh MacAlister said: “Councillor Mark Fryer and I discussed with him our ambitions for what devolution could deliver for West Cumbria if we get the right deal from government.

“We also had a great visit to New Balance, a local example of a growing and successful manufacturing business that could benefit from the opportunities devolution unlocks.”

The Whitehaven and Workington MP is asking residents to provide feedback on the possible Cumbria devolution.
