Coniston Mountain Rescue came to the aid of two men whose car got stuck.
The call came in on February, Thursday 27, near Atkinson Coppice when a couple of men drove a 2-wheel-drive hatchback up an off-road track between Little Langdale and Tilberthwaite.

Deciding to turn back, the car slid off the track into a wall and called for help was made.
A spokesperson for Coniston Mountain Rescue said: “Although we do not normally recover vehicles in this capacity, we agreed to assist due to the fact one of the men had a health condition which could have resulted in concern had we not been able to help.”
The volunteer service despatched two Land Rovers with 10 members to towed and pushed the vehicle back onto the track.
