Seascale Golf Club raised £2000 for Hospice at Home West Cumbria.
The golf club that is based at one of the top 100 of best Golf Courses in England chose Hospice at Home West Cumbria as their captain’s charity for 2024.

Brian O’Kane opted for Seascale Golf Club to support Hospice at Home West Cumbria as their Charity of the Year while he was Club Captain in 2024.
O’Kane said: “Each year at our golf club, the Captain selects a charity to support for the year and my choice was Hospice at Home West Cumbria which is a unique local organisation that delivers so much help to families during times of deep emotional stress.
“Quality end of life care is crucial in our fast moving society.’’
Members and non-members from Seascale Golf Club took part in events and competitions within the club, to raise the funds, then the Golf Club kindly donate a percentage of the profit to the Captains chosen charity.
Adam Lamb, Manager, at Seascale Golf Club said: “Brian had such a great year as Captain of Seascale Golf Club and I’m glad his tireless efforts produced a tremendous contribution to the Hospice at Home West Cumbria funds.”
While Jessica Woolaghan, Partnerships and Fundraising Co-ordinator, at Hospice at Home West Cumbria said: “We are so grateful to Brian for choosing to support our charity during his Captaincy, and to Adam and everyone at Seascale Golf Club who got involved in the competitions, helped to raise the fundsand supported us.
“Thank you for your continued support.”
The charity relies on the support of the local community to continue to provide their vital services across West Cumbria.
