Cumbria Police are appealing for witnesses after attending an assault that ended up with a man being taken to hospital.
Officers from Cumbria’s Constabulary attended the incident at Wigton on Monday, February 3, following a report of a man having suffered a significant leg injury as a result of an assault, believed to have occurred in the vicinity of Kirkland Road.
The injured man was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.
Two men from Cumbria, one aged 27 and the other aged 30, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
They remain in police custody.
