A man has been arrested in suspicion of indecent exposure following Cumbria Police being made aware of social media allegations.
A man in his 70s was arrested by Cumbria Police on Friday, January 31.
This comes following the police being made aware of social media posts regarding allegations of a “man exposing himself on a bus in the Workington” earlier that same day.
In a statement police said: “Cumbria Police can confirm that a man in his 70s has been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and is currently in police custody.
“Officers thank those people who reported the matter but ask that people refrain from online speculation now that there is a risk of contempt of court following an arrest having been made.
