St Benedict’s Catholic High School has been forced to closed the school after the roof sustained damage during Storm Eowyn.
The closure is only for Monday, January 27, while the building is inspected.
In a post on Socail Media a spokesperson for the High School said: “Sadly, during the storm part of our roof has sustained some damage.
“This means that the building has to be inspected before it can be deemed safe for students and staff to return.
“This inspection is likely to take place on Monday 27th January, and therefore in consultation with the local authority we have decided that both schools (Mayfield and St Benedict’s) will remain closed tomorrow (27th)
“Please see EduLink for further details, and we will update as and when we have further information.”
