Esteban Ocon Replaced With Jack Doohan For Final 2024 Grand Prix

Alpine Formula One Team will be using Reserve Driver Jack Doohan in the final race of the 2024 season in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in place of Esteban Ocon.

Esteban Ocon will be replaced for the final race of the F1 season – Alpine

Doohan, who has already been announced as an official driver for the 2025 season alongside Pierre Gasly, will race with the #61 as his registered Reserve Driver number and will also participate in the end-of-season test for the team at the Yas Marina Circuit.

A spokesperson for the team said: “We would like to thank Esteban for his time at the team and he will remain part of the team’s history achieving the first win for Alpine in Formula 1.

“We wish Esteban the best for the future.”

Ocon joined the French team in 2021 as the brand took over from Renault achieving his first Grand Prix victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2021.

He then went on to claim another two podiums for the team with third place in the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix and second in the 2024 São Paulo Grand Prix.

Esteban will join Haas for the 2025 season alongside British Ferrari Academy driver Oliver Bearman.
