A woman from Whitehaven has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker along with multiple other offences.

Following an incident on West Strand, in Whitehaven on 2 August, Kylie Townsley, 36, of Loweswater Avenue, Whitehaven has been charged with:

• Use threatening/abuse words/ behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress
• Assault by beating of an emergency worker
• Two counts of assault by beating

She is to appear at Magistrates Court on Tuesday, December 3.
