Nuclear Transport Solutions a leading provider of safe and secure nuclear transport, provided their cyber security experts to undertake a cyber security assessment for Hospice at Home West Cumbria.
Hospice at Home West Cumbria contacted Nuclear Transport Solutions, and their specialists arranged a comprehensive technical, governance and culture cyber security assessment, with no cost to the charity.

Rakesh Burgul, Nuclear Transport Solutions’ Special Advisor Cyber Security and Information Assurance, said: “It was great to use our knowledge, skills and experience to help such a fantastic organisation.
“The work of Hospice at Home West Cumbria is absolutely vital, the care they provide is essential, and we need to ensure they avoid any disruption.
“I’d like to express my thanks to John Tear who completed the technical assessment and Lauren Gorge who came and spoke to the charity about cyber security culture.”
The team worked through a range of suggestions from Hospice at Home West Cumbria’s IT service provider and were able to prioritise their needs, saving their valuable resources on unnecessary equipment, while ensuring they could keep their systems, and ultimately their users, safe.
The team also went through cyber security risks with the staff advising on phishing attacks, malicious websites and how to protect against ransomware.
Julie Monk, CEO of Hospice at Home West Cumbria, expressed gratitude to NTS saying: “We are extremely thankful to NTS for generously giving their time and expertise to our charity.
“The assessment has given us peace of mind knowing that we are now better equipped to protect the sensitive information of our organisation.”
By offering this service, Nuclear Transport Solutions demonstrates its commitment to making a positive impact on local communities.
