Cumbria Police officers were involved in a short chase as two shoplifters made a break for the county border.
Responding to a report of two men shoplifting from a shop in Penrith on Thursday, October 24.

Officers performed quick CCTV enquiries and noted the males getting into a black Fiat 500.
Relaying this information another Officer, although 20 minutes behind caught the black Fiat 500 heading for the Durham Border travelling on the A66.
The Officer stopped the vehicle and the two men ran into the surrounding countryside.
The Rural Crime Team deployed a drone and followed him until Response officers located and arressted one male, the other was located and arrested in a sheep pen.
One of the men was wanted for offences in Durham.
