Fellow South African, Dominic Hendricks will come in and take on the role of overseas proffesional and club coach.

2024 1st XI Captain Pete Lawson said: “We are really pleased to get Dom on board for 2025, he ticks all the boxes for what we need and with the quality of our wickets at Furness I expect Dom to naturally excel out on the pitch but I’m especially looking forward to what he will bring to the table on the coaching front also.“We received great references on his desire and ability to improve those around him so that’s a huge bonus to the club as a whole. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Ryan Griffiths for his hard work in the background in securing Dom’s signature.“As a club we look forward to welcoming Dom and wife Kristen to Furness in 2025 and we would also like to thank Rob at WSX Cricket for his efforts.”

Dominic Hendricks is the red ball captain of the well renowned DP World Lions franchise in South Africa’s top tier of cricket and led them to the 4 day championship in the 2023/2024 season.

Hendricks comes with plenty of experience playing in the UK, most recently in The Northern Premier League in 2024 with Mawdesley Cricket Club scoring 939 runs in all games and taking 42 wickets.
