Egremont Rangers Look For New Open Age Coach For 2025 Season

Egremont Rangers are looking for a new open age coach for the 2025 season.

The club, heading into its 125 year in 2025, will be playing in the National Conference League Division One following relegation from the Premier Division.

Egremont Rangers also enter a team in the Cumberland Amateur Rugby League (CARLA) League where they face NCL rivals Kells and Wath Brow Hornets along with Apastria, Distington and Askam amongst others.

The team also has a proud tradition of players being selected for the England Lions, the national amateur side, with Kieran Glen and Leon Crellin currently on tour in Australia with them.

In the job description Egremont Rangers write: “We are a community rugby league club with a desire to be the very best we can be.

“Whilst at the same time priding ourselves on being one big family. Our core values are at the very epicentre of who we are.

“As Open Age head coach you will be responsible for leading the coaching and match preparation of our Open Age sides, whilst contributing towards our club’s culture where we look to maximise the talent of every player.

“The successful candidate will be required to work alongside the club, players and wider support staff to ensure all the needs for the team are catered for and delivered to a high standard.

“The candidates must be hardworking, passionate, have great knowledge of rugby league and have a desire to build on the work of previous coaching staff.”

They also go on to say that the candidates must either have completed or be willing to complete the following qualifications:

  • UKCC level 2 coaching badge
  • RFL DBS check
  • RFL Safeguarding and protecting children
  • RFL Adult coach right course
  • RFL Concussion course
