It was a mixed round for Cumbrias sides in the Regional leagues as they continued their start to the season.
Anselmians and Rossendale made it five from five at the top of the Regional 1 North West.
On Saturday, October 12, Rossendale maintained top spot with a 22-38 win over Leek as Anselmians won 10-29 at Birkenhead Park.
Moving into third to lead the chasing pack Wirral came away from Cumbria with a 22-28 victory over Penrith with Blackburn and Manchester a point behind after close wins 15-17 and 33-32 wins over Stockport and Newport (Salop) respectively.
Kendal recorded their first win of the season with a 46-24 victory at home to Stoke on Trent.
The top two are both at home on Saturday, October 19, as Rossendale host Penrith and Anselmians play Stockport with Wirral facing close rival Newport (Salop).
Blackburn welcome Leek as Manchester travel to Kendal and bottom side Birkenhead Park travel to Stoke on Trent with both side looking for their first win of the season.

Middlesbrough have taken over at the top of the Regional 2 North after inflicting a 21-39 first defeat on Northern on October 12.
West Hartlepool moved up to second with a 17-34 win at Aspatria as Morpeth jumped into third with a close 10-11 win at Kirkby Lonsdale while Keswick won another close encounter 18-17 against Consett.
Cumbrias other teams in the division both faired differently as Carlisle ran out 7-33 winners at Guisborough while Upper Eden lost 15-33 at home to Durham City.
Top versus bottom on October 12 as Middlesbrough take on Guisborough and West Hartlepool welcome Keswick while Morpeth travel to Consett with Northern welcoming Kirkby Lonsdale.
In an all Cumbrian tie Carlisle host Upper Eden and Aspatria travel to Durham City.

Firwood Waterloo moved clear at the top of Regional 2 North with a 22-36 win over Vale of Lune on October 12.
Bowden moved into second after a 7-24 victory over Burnage while Sandbach were 50-21 winners against Douglas (I.O.M) as Widnes moved up the table with a 10-26 win over Eccles.
Moving into sixth Altrincham Kersal took a 25-0 win over Crewe & Nantwich as Northwich moved off the bottom with a 18-27 win over Winnington Park.
The league leaders Firwood Waterloo take on Sandbach with Bowden hosting Northwich as Burnage travel to Crewe & Nantwich on October 19.
Fifth placed Widnes welcome Vale of Lune while Altrincham Kersal make the trip to Douglas (I.O.M) and Winnington Park head to Eccles.

The early tussle at the top of the Cumbria League continues with Wigton recording at 31-12 victory over Millom as Penrith 2nd were 45-0 winners against Windermere and Egremont beat Workington 37-15 while Cockermouth almost maintained their unbeaten run with a 64-5 win over Ambleside.
In fifth St Benedicts were 19-5 winners at home to Creighton while Whitehaven’s wait for a home game came to an end but ended with a 10-14 defeat to Keswick 2nd.
Hawcoat Park were awarded their game with Aspatria 2nd.
League leaders Wigton head to Workington on October 19 as Penrith 2nd travel to Ambleside and Egremont head to Creighton.
Making the long trip south Cockermouth face Millom as Windermere head to the coast to play Whitehaven and Aspatria 2nd host St Benedicts as Keswick 2nd welcome Hawcoat Park.
