Cumbrian footballs teams throughout the county and beyond are set to remember Jay Cartmell.
Jay, a youth player for Whitehaven Miners Social JFC, died on September 28 has left the footballing community within Cumberland in shocked and devastated by the tragic loss.

Cumberland FA have worked with the wishes of Whitehaven Miners to encourage clubs to hold a minutes applause ahead of this weekends’ games on October 12 and 13.
The leagues in Cumbria have agreed to take part in a minutes applause as part of a county wide tribute.
Teams playing within the National leagues and those participating within leagues outside of the County including Workington AFC, Carlisle City FC, Penrith AFC, Cleator Moor Celtic FC, Whitehaven AFC, Windscale AFC and Whitehaven AFC Ladies, Workington Town Women, and have also all agreed to take part ahead of their next respective home fixtures.
