A 14-year-old girl has been charged with two counts of police assault and a public order offence.
Cumbria Police have charged the teenager with police assault after an incident last night, September 17, on Anson Street in Barrow.
The teen, who cannot be named due to her age, is due to appear before Barrow Youth Court on October, 4 2024.
Two 12-year-olds were arrested on suspicion of police obstruction during the incident as well as another teen, aged 15, on suspicion of a public order offence and police obstruction.
All have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Due to the age of the children and teenagers involved there names cannot be disclosed.
The charges follow active patrols by officers as part of Operation Enhance, Cumbria Police’s new county-wide crackdown on anti-social behaviour (ASB) and serious violence.
