Cumbria Police are continuing to respond to a collision on the M6 that involved a pedestrian.

A partial road closure on the M6 remains in place with the south carriageway now reopened with a lane three closure in place.

However the M6 remains closed northbound between J41 (Catterlen Interchange) and J43 (Carlisle).

Cumbria Police officers were called to the incident at 8:06pm on Saturday, September 14, with National Highways Traffic Officers providing assistance with traffic management.
