Millom and Furness Coastguard were called to reports of a yacht washed up on a Cumbrian beach.
On Sunday, August 25, Millom and Furness Coastguard received a report that a yacht had washed up on Silecroft beach.
The two Coastguard teams ensured that no one was onboard or requiring medical assistance before securing the yacht to the beach.

A spokesperson for the teams said: “It looked like the vessel had dragged its anchors, but we ran out extra anchors to secure its location and prevent damage.
“The vessel was checked for an owners phone number, but one could not be found.
“If you know the owners of the yacht SABLE, please ask them to contact Holyhead Coastguard on:
01407 762051 Quoting GIN: 533229”
The Coastguard also advised that if you own a yacht, to put an owners name and contact details in a window so that incase of an emergency you can be contacted.
