Cumbria Police deployed armed officers to a Workington community after a threats to kill was reported.

Armed officers were deployed as a precaution to Poole Road, Salterbeck on Friday, August 16, with further officers attending to carry out arrest enquiries following a report of threats to kill.

A 40-year-old man was arrested he remains in police custody.
