An affordable photoshoot play day is coming to Whitehaven as Rainbow City and Scene But Not Heard team up for “Summer Snaps”.
The two businesses are coming together on Friday, August 9, to offer budget-priced but professional photos of children and families while they play.
The Herdwick News spoke to both Sophie Ennis, the owner of Rainbow City, and Samantha Graham, photographer and owner of Scene But Not Heard, who both explained they wanted to offer an alternative to school photos in a more relaxed setting.
Sophie said: “We are just trying to keep bringing fresh ideas to the local area.
“Photoshoots can cost a lot of money and are difficult to get the kids to sit still so we are trying to offer a fun way to get a nice couple of pictures for the wall or for gifts as I know a lot of people often do.”

Children will be able to have a 90-minute session playing at Rainbow City while Samantha takes photos of them giving parents two digital copies.
Samantha explained she wanted to be able to provide affordable and more relaxed photos after noticing school photos “can come across awkward and with a big price tag”.
She said: “My eldest has just turned 10 years old and when she was in her first years of life it was just her and me and I remember the purse strings being tighter and the only professional photo opportunities we got were school photos which admittedly can come across awkward and with a big price tag.
“So I wanted to collaborate with Sophie to be able to offer a laid-back environment to grab them all important photos while the kids are at ease and have their lovely little personalities at the forefront and most importantly at an affordable price.”
The Summer Snaps sessions take place on Friday, August 9, between 1:30pm and 3pm and cost just £12 each.
