The first of five Operation Respect community days has been held with Cumberland Council, Cumbria Police, Cumbria Fire and Rescue and other organisations in attendance.

This first event was held on Tuesday, July 23, in the Raffles Estate, Carlisle with the aim of bringing the community together, tackling antisocial behaviour and engaging local pride.
A spokesperson for the Council said: “We reckon around 2,000 people came along and had fun in the sun – as well as getting invaluable support and information from all the agencies there, and helping spruce up the estate.”
