Hospice at Home West Cumbria has set its sights on the highest mountain in England for their next fundraising challenge and inviting their supporters to join them on a sunrise walk up Scafell Pike.
Teaming up with local business Lakeland Mountain Guides, the charity is looking forward to returning to Scafell Pike after hosting a sunset walk in 2021, which raised over £10,000 for the local hospice charity.
Participants will set off in the early hours of Sunday, August 11, with the aim of reaching the summit in time to enjoy the sunrise.
The challenge is open to everybody, whether this be as part of a fitness challenge, a walk in memory of a loved one, or just to enjoy a memorable morning on the fells and dogs are more than welcome to join the walk too.
The charity is excited to be joined for the hike by a number of employees from international industrial services company Kaefer, who are based at West Lakes Science Park.

Long standing supporters of the charity and a spokesperson from Team KAEFER said: “We are looking forward to tacklingthe highest mountain in England just in time to watch the sunrise for a brilliant local cause.
“We support Hospice at Home West Cumbria because of the fantastic work they do in our community, caring for families going through extremely difficult times.
