The gap between Newliathes Ladies and Workington Diamonds is now at six points at the top of Andrea Buggy Women’s League as Allerdale Wildcats pick up their third win of the season.
Taking to Workington Town’s Fibrus Community Stadium Allerdale Wildcats welcomed a depleted Carlisle United Ladies team that travelled with eight players and finished the match with seven on Wednesday, July 26.
Two goals from Gemma Kay-Roe and a Laura Blair-Forster double as Leah Harrison and Lauren Kay-Roe added the other two goals as the Wildcats finished with a 6-0 win.

Leaders Newlaithes Ladies made the trip to Penrith AFC Ladies and came away with a 0-6 win.
A Nicola Waugh hat trick, goals from Emma Sisson and Abbie Telford gave the Carlisle side the points.
In the third game played on Wednesday Stanwix Hornets ran out 4-1 against Barrow based Vickerstown Ladies.
Playing a day later on June 27, Whitehaven AFC Ladies moved in the group on twelve points with a 5-2 Abbeytown Ladies.
On target for Whitehaven was Ella Beadsmoore, Molly Blair, a double from Ashleigh McAllister and a debut goal for Aarleah Robertson.
Workington Diamonds can close the gap on Wednesday, July 3, when they head to Vickerstown while Whitehaven AFC make the trip to Carlisle United and Abbeytown welcome Penrith AFC.
All matches are a 7:15pm (19:15) kickoff.
