A late night call out for Penrith Fire Station and Cumbria Police as a van was reported on fire in a housing estate.

Just before 23:30 on Wednesday, June 26 both appliances from Penrith Fire were called out to a van on fire on Eden Mount, Penrith.

On arrival the van was found alight and two breathing apparatus wearers with two hose reel jets were committed to extinguish the fire.

Two females and a male have been arrested on suspicion of Arson.

The trio are still in Police custody and are assisting officers with their enquires.
