Whitehaven Alive 2024: Festival Returns As New Business Structure And An Extra Day

By Rachael Grealish

Whitehaven Alive has confirmed it will return for 2024 under a new business structure and as a four-day festival.

Following on from the success of Sophie Ellis-Bextor and The Vaccines headlining last year, the four-day festival is back from Thursday, September 12, until Sunday, September 15.

In a social media post the team confirmed the company is a Community Interest Company.

They said this is so “all profits from the event go straight back into making the next year even bigger and better”.

A spokesperson said: “Whitehaven Alive has always been about the community, our organisers are all volunteers working hard to bring the event to you and we wanted to cement this fact.”

The festival has also been extended from three days to four days.

So where there was live music Friday through to Sunday in 2023, for 2024 there will be live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Sunday will now be a “community focused” day.

Early bird tickets were made live with the announcement as was the confirmation the festival is partnering with Mitie as their music partner and Amentum as their hospitality partner.

Bounty Competitions is also the Friend of Whitehaven Alive sponsor.
