Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue were called out to aid a walker who had fell on the fells and needed airlifted to the hospital.
The mountain rescue team were called out on June 8 to a walker who had taken a tumble and sustained a nasty lower leg injury while enjoying the weekend sunshine on Loughrigg.

Providing treatment at the scene, the casualty was then carried to the North West Air Ambulance helicopter, where the crew then whisked them away to hospital for further treatment.
The mountain rescue teams in Cumbria are volunteers and rely on donation from the public to continue to provide care for those in need on the fells.
