Cumbria Police searching for a missing man from Cheshire have confirmed a man’s body was found near Silverdale by a member of the public.

The call from a member of the public came in shortly before 1:30pm, on Wednesday, June 5, that a body was found near to Middle Barrow Quarry, Silverdale.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

The family of Nigel Redshaw, reported missing in April, have been informed.
