Several Cumbrian mountain rescue teams undertook a “complex recovery operation” after a paraglider pilot died in the Lake District.
In a social media post by Keswick Mountain Rescue Team, on Monday, June 2, a paraglider went missing after launching from the summit of Robinson, near Buttermere in the Lake District.

The Keswick team spotted the paraglider canopy above Buttermere and converged with Cockermouth Moutain Rescue and Wasdale Mountain Rescue at the location.
The paraglider was declared dead at the scene.
In the post, KMRT said: “A complex recovery operation commenced to retrieve the man’s body.
“Our deepest thoughts and sympathies are with the man’s family and friends.”
