Cumbria Police Appeal For Information After Fatal HGV Collision

Cumbria Police are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred when a HGV left the road and collided with a building.

The incident occurred at around 4.10pm on Wednesday afternoon, May 22, on the A7 at Scotsdyke, almost on the border with Scotland.

The driver of the HGV, a man aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, it is believed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or the moments immediately before or after.
