The West Cumbria Leagues continued with impressive results in the two divisions as Workington, Whitehaven and Wigton battle it out at the top of the Triples League.
West Cumbria Mixed Triples League
After the round of games on Tuesday, May 7, there are joint leaders as Whitehaven A beat Egremont 9-0 and Wigton were 7-2 winners against Croft.
Seaton took a close game against Seascale 5-4 and Cleator Moor lost 3-6 at home to Workington as Maryport win 7-2 against Vulcan Park and Harris Park A won 0-9 against Harris Park B.
Whitehaven A got the better of the battle of top two with a 7-2 win over Wigton on Tuesday, May 14, but lost top spot as Workington beat Maryport 9-0.
In the other two games Seaton lost 7-2 aginst Croft while Vulcan Park were beaten 2-7 by Seascale.
Neither Harris Park side were in action as Harris Park B games at Egremont and Harris Park A match with Whitehaven B were postponed.
League leaders Workington head to Harris Park B on Tuesday, May 21, as Whitehaven A make the short trip to Cleator Moor while Wigton welcome Egremont.
Seaton face Harris Park A while Croft head to Maryport and Whitehaven B play Vulcan Park.

West Cumbria Fours League
Workington A continued their near perfect start on Friday, May 17, with a 7-0 win at home to Vulcan Park while Whitehaven A were 2-5 winners at Seaton.
Maryport made the trip to Whitehaven B and left with a 0-7 win as Cleator Moor lost 2-5 to Fitz Park.
The top two meet on Friday, May 24, as Whitehaven A welcome Workington A while Maryport face Seaton as Cleator Moor travel to Workington B and Vulcan Park face Whitehaven B.

Some of the county’s clubs will be putting the final touches to their plans for Bowls England’s Big Bowls Weekend.
