Two sides in the Cumbria Cricket League have a perfect start to the season with wins in all of their league games so far.
Cockermouth sit top of the Premier Division with three wins from three as Carlisle move into second with Dalton, Keswick and Whitehaven in third after the round of games on Saturday, May 11.
Making the trip to Haverigg Cockermouth were put into the field after losing the toss.
Akshay Chandran made 95 runs as Haverigg were bowled out for 144 before Matthew Sempill scored 51 as Cockermouth completed the chase.
Carlisle moved up to second with victory over Cleator who won the toss and batted first.
Reaching 152 from their fifty overs Cleator’s Geeth Kumara made 79 as the West Cumbrian side were almost bowled out.
Michael Slack scored an unbeaten 67 as the home side chased Cleator down in just under thirty four overs.
Continuing their impressive return to the top division Dalton pick up another win as they beat Millom.
Batting first Dalton were bowled out for 102 with Liam Curwen making 20 before they bowled Millom out for 99 with Declan Tyson hitting 24.
Fourth placed Keswick chased down Furness who won the toss and batted first.
The Keswick bowlers restricted the visitors to 107 with Garry Thompson making 27 as Risith Upamal took 5 wickets for 18 runs.
Upamal then helped steer the side home after Will Atkinson’ 41 and Stephen Hindmarch’ 32 put them in a strong position.
Whitehaven kept pace with the chasing pack as they put Workington into bat after winning the toss.
Lewis Keeler took 5 wickets for 24 as visiting Workington were bowled out for 129 with Matthew Lowden scoring 24.
Chasing Whitehaven’s Terance Warde top scored with 43 as they reached 130 in twenty seven overs.
Egremont’s difficult start to the season continued at home to Wigton who won the toss and batted first making 112 with Christopher Hodgson making 39.
In reply Egremont’s Raghav Kupar scored 33 as the home side fell to 94 all out with Christopher Hodgson taking 5 wickets for 25 runs.
Cockermouth welcome Whitehaven on Saturday, May 18, as they look to stay top of the Premier Divison as Carlisle head to Egremont while Dalton make the trip to Workington and Keswick travel to Millom.
In the bottom half of the table Furness host Cleator and Wigton play Haverigg.

In Division One Wetheral have made a great start to the campaign opening up a six point gap to the chasing pack.
In the second game of the season Wetheral made the trip to Workington 2nd where batting first they set visitors a target of 223 from their fifty overs.
Workington 2nd were bowled out for 40.
In a low scoring game home side Cockermouth 2nd chased down Vickerstown who winning the toss elected to bat first.
The visitors were bowed out for 29 before Cockermouth completed the win reached 32 in ten overs.
At Furness the home team won the toss and batted first with Jordan Buchanan hitting 51 not out as they finished on 175 against Hawcoat Park.
Chasing Hawcoat Park lost two wickets as Sam Cunningham scored 63 with Callum Muncaster making 66 as they finished on 178 to win.
Ulverston won the toss at Seascale and batted first with Jack Dryden making 26 as they were bowled out for 88 as Adam Brown took 4 wickets for 8 runs.
Adam Brown then made 31 with the bat as Seascale made 89 in twenty-one overs.
Whitehaven 2nd made the trip to Millom and winning the toss put the home side into bat.
Tom De Gelder took 5 wickets for 23 as Millom 2nd was bowled out for 150 with Daniel Mackie scoring an unbeaten 62.
Chasing Adam McGarry and Tom De Gelder both scored 33 as Oscar Mackie and Kalan Robinson took 4 wickets each as they bowled Whitehaven out for 116.
Continuing on May 18 Wetheral host Vickerstown as Cockermouth 2nd head to Seascale and Hawcoat Park face Millom 2nd.
Furness 2nd travel to Ulverston while Whitehaven 2nd welcome Workington 2nd.

After two games Division Two has a three team tie at the top with Barrow, Cleator 2nd and Egremont 2nd being closely followed by Dalton 2nd as the weather allowed play.
Barrow successfully chased down Haverigg 2nd on May 11 to sit top of the trio after being put into field first.
Bowling Haverigg out for 124 with batters Robert Bell scoring 42 and Anthony Johnson 40 the highlight of the innings.
Jonathan Lowes was not out done as he made an unbeaten 65 as the home side reached 125 for an eight wicket win.
Cleator 2nd won the toss and batted first making 180 from their forty overs against Dalton 2nd.
In reply Dalton took it the distance but fell short reaching 142 for the loss of nine wickets.
Egremont 2nd’s trip to Ulverston didn’t happen as the home side conceded the tie.
The top two meet on May 18 as Cleator 2nd host Barrow as Egremont 2nd head to Haverigg 2nd and Kirkby in Furness face Ulverston 2nd.
