Teeside Hospice Is Asking People To Have Tea For Teeside To Help Raise Funds

Teeside Hospice is asking people to brew up to help raise funds for the palliative care charity.

Between June 17 – 28, Teesside will be baking for those living with a terminal illness and is asking people to do the same as they launch this delicious fundraiser – Tea for Teesside.

The Hospice will be hoping to raise as much money as possible as it costs £16,000 a day to run all their services.

With only around a third of the charities income coming from government funding, they rely on community to fundraise the remainder.

Channon Barlow, Head of Fundraising at Teesside Hospice, said: “Teesside Hospice was built upon community fundraising over 40 years ago in 1982.

“We wouldn’t be here without the Teesside community. For those who take their precious time to raise essential funds for those living with a terminal illness – thank you.”

Tea for Teesside is the charity’s take on the globally-popular coffee morning, where you can make every cuppa count.

Whether you’re a first-time fundraiser, or a seasoned professional baker, organising your own coffee morning is a simple and rewarding way to make a positive impact to those living with a terminal illness.

Teeside Hospice will be with you every sip of the way as they send your own fundraising pack, which includes:
