Police Seize Over £15k Worth Of Drugs At Cumbria Motorway Services Stop

Police have seized over £15,000 worth of cannabis after stopping a man at a Cumbrian Motorway services.

Cumbria Police stopped Klajdi Ferhati, 27, near the Tebay Services on Monday, April 29.

Officers seized around 5kg of cannabis from the car, with an estimated street value of between £15,000 and £20,000.

The 27 year old, of Russel Street, Sunderland, appeared before Carlisle Magistrates Court on Wednesday, May 1, charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.

The seizure forms part of forms part of Operation Alliance – Cumbria Constabulary’s ongoing response to protect the county against serious and organised crime.
