The Eden Valley Leagues got off to an interesting start as the new season got underway.
Eden Valley Mixed Triples
Division One champions Linton lost their opening game 4-6 at home to runners up Fitz Park A on Tuesday, April 23 while Penrith Friars B beat Lazonby by the same 6-4 score line.
Division Two winners Caldbeck got off to a difficult start with a 1-8 loss to Appleby A while fellow new side Temple Sowerby beat Fitz Park B 9-1.
The sides are back in action on Tuesday, April 30, with Temple Sowerby hosting Lazonby while Appleby A welcome Linton and Fitz Park A take on Penrith Friars B.
At the bottom of the table Caldbeck face Fitz Park B.

In Division Two Dalston, Shap and Wetheral got off to winning starts on April 23.
Appleby B slumped to a 1-9 defeat at home to Dalston while Wetheral beat Skelton 2-8 and Shap start their season with a closer 6-4 win at home to Penrith Castle Park.
The top two meet on April 30 as Wetheral host Dalston with Penrith Castle Park face Appleby B and Penrith Friars A get their season underway at home to Shap.

Eden Valley Mixed Rinks
Mixed Rinks Champions Caldbeck got their title defence underway with a 4-4 draw at Lazonby on Thursday, April 25, while Fitz Park A came back from Shap with an 0-8 win as Penrith Friars lost 6-2 at Temple Sowerby.
Fitz Park B went down 2-6 at home to Penrith Castle Park and Skelton drew 4-4 with Appleby.
Appleby open the May fixtures on Thursday, May 2, at home to Temple Sowerby as Fitz Park A face Skelton and Caldbeck take on Fitz Park B.
Penrith Castle Park welcome Shap and Penrith Friars play Lazonby.

Eden Valley Ladies Triples
The Ladies Triples got underway on Thursday, April 25, with Lazonby picking up a 6-0 win against Caldbeck while Shap lost 2-4 at home to Fitz Park and Penrith Friars left Temple Sowerby empty handed as the hosts won 6-0.
Penrith Friars will be looking to pick up their first points of the season at home to Lazonby on Thursday, May 2.
