After a thrilling end to the rugby union season Cumbria’s sides now turn their attention to the Papa Johns Cup competition.
The end of season cup competition has come under scrutiny as sides have been struggling after a long season with a few teams pulling out of the competition.

In the Region 1 competitions Kendal start with a home game against Stockport on Saturday, April 13, in their only group game after Alnwick and Blaydon pulled out of the Plate competition.
For Penrith all three teams have stood down in their Shield Pool with Anselmians, Cleckheaton and Pontefract withdrawing from the competition.
In the Region 2 games Aspatria make the trip to Vale of Lune on April 13 in the Plate while Cockermouth have given their game to Kirkby Lonsdale.
The Counties Championship has St Benedicts host Sunderland on April 13 as Wigton have been awarded their tie with Medicals in the Plate and in the Sheild Creighton make the trip to Bolton.
