The investigation into a Rochdale man continues after he was arrested following multiple reports from the public of a car driving dangerously in the Bowness-on-Windermere area.

A 20-year-old man from Rochdale was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences including driving a vehicle over the prescribed limit of alcohol, failure to stop at a road traffic collision and dangerous driving on Sunday night, April 7.

He has also been arrested on aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent, possession of a controlled drug (class B) and driving without insurance.

He has been released on police bail while the investigation continues.
