Cumbria Police are investigating the attempt theft from a Co-Op store.

The Alston Co-Op suffered the attempted theft of the ATM overnight.

Offenders were not successful, but have caused substantial damage to the shop, causing it to close, having a detrimental impact on the community.

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone with CCTV is asked to contact Police on 101 quoting log CP-20240324-0036.
