An event is being held to update the community on the progress and programmes that iSH and Cleator Moor Town Deal are planning.

Members of the public will be able to meet new iSH, industrial solutions hub, Managing Director Gary McKeating at Cleator Moor Civic Hall on Thursday, March 21.

The Cleator Moor Town Deal’s project Enterprising Town looks to ‘kick start major investment’ in the Leconfield industrial estate.

This includes the wider iSH projects that will have a hub built on the industrial estate.

The Town Deal funding came from central government with £22.5 million being awarded in November 2022 after 101 towns were selected to receive a share of the £3.6 billion Towns Fund.

Cleator Moor’s project covers four projects called Enterprising Town, Healthy Town, Revitalised Town and Connected Town.

The Revitalised Town looks at improving the centre of Cleator Moor while the Healthy Town will refurb and expand Cleator Moor Activity Centre.

The event starts at 9:30am and finishes at 11:00am at Cleator Moor Civic Hall.
