A new event is coming to West Cumbria as the Weekend Truth Festival will bring Katie Hopkins and Matt Le Tissier to the area.

Taking place over three days, May 3 to 5, the Weekend Truth Festival is bringing numerous speakers and activities to Feather Knott, Workington.

The festival is calling for “truth and freedom lovers to come and see and ask questions of the speakers”.

Set to be hosted by Kate Shemirani with Katie Hopkins, Matt Le Tissier, Mark Attwood and others listed as speakers.

The former Premier League footballer, Matt Le Tissier, might be better known for his performances for Southampton but has recently become know for his opinions on the COVID-19 vaccine.

A comment from Matt said he is looking forward to coming to West Cumbria and it is a return to the area as he’s spoken before in Cockermouth.

He told The Herdwick News his speech will be an “honest assessment” of what’s happened the last four years.

One organiser, Kevin Dowling, from the Buxton Freedom Hub said: “We chose West Cumbria for the festival as it’s a wonderful scenic part of the country.

“It’s a fantastic place for a gathering of our private members club.”

Kevin went on to explain that he hopes the weekend with be “uplifting” and has even hinted at a WTF mark two even before this first one in May.

“We hope to gather all the membership together for a weekend of uplifting talks and inspiring solutions, raising our collective vibration,” Kevin said.

“We look forward to everyone leaving feeling positive for the future and looking forward to WTF2.”
