A Scunthorpe man was arrested and convicted of multiple shoplifting offences in the South Lakes area.
On Tuesday, February 20, Catalin Serban of Frodingham Road, Scunthorpe was arrested in Humberside as part of an investigation into multiple shoplifting offences in the South Lakes area.
He was charged with thirteen offences and remanded in Police Custody and was taken directly to South Cumbria Magistrates on Wednesday, February 21.
Serban was convicted of all 13 offences and was imprisoned for six months and ordered to pay £2800 of compensation to the victims.
Along with £154 Victim Surcharge and £85 costs.
