Kendal And Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue Involved In Borrowdale Rescue

Kendal and Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue were both involved in a rescue off High Borrowdale.

Four members from Kendal and Kirkby Stephen responded to a call on February 19, after a female walker suffered a lower leg injury whilst out hiking up the Borrowdale valley.

Once on scene, the walker was quickly assessed and her leg was splinted, and there was a short stretcher carry back to the vehicle where the patient and her partner were transferred to their own vehicle to drive to A&E and have the leg checked out further.

Kendal Mountain Rescue and the other mountain rescues around Cumbria are volunteer ran and supported through donations.
