Keswick Mountain Rescue and the Great North Air Ambulance responded to a call out on White Side.

On Sunday, February 18, a walker slipped whilst descending a benign looking path off White Side.
The call came in as the slip resulted in a probable broken lower leg.
The Great North Air Ambulance’s Helimed 58 quickly deployed and landed on nearby Brown Crag whilst 16 members of Keswick Mountain Rescue made their way up the hill.
The Helimed paramedics provided pain relief and treated the man ready for a haul on the stretcher over to the helicopter before being taken to hospital.
A Keswick Mountain Rescue spokesperson said: “As well as GNAAS thanks to Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT) for covering two additional call outs over the weekend whilst we were otherwise engaged.”
The mountain rescue teams and Great North Air Ambulance are ran off donation from the public.
