The Women’s Cumberland County Cup is set to get underway with three matches planned.
Current holders Carlisle United Ladies were due to face rising Lancashire FA Women’s league side Whitehaven AFC Ladies in the first round on Sunday, February 18 but due to the weather they have been postponed until Sunday, February 25.
Carlisle United have been struggling in the North West Women’s Regional league this season while Whitehaven AFC have been sitting top of the Championship league.
It is an all Lancashire County leagues encounter on February 18 as Championship side Penrith AFC Ladies Development side welcome Division One Abbeytown Ladies.
While Stanwix Junior face the difficult task of taking on high flying Penrith AFC who currently sit joint second in the North West Women’s Regional League.
