Keswick Mountain Rescue conducted a stretcher rescue on Hindscarth.
The rescue happened on February 10 when a couple descending the north ridge of Hindscarth came into difficulty after one of the walkers slipped and injured her ankle.

Unable to put any weight on it Keswick Mountain Rescue were called into action and with a long stretcher carry expected three team vehicles, totalling 21 team members, were dispatched with some going straight to the rescue.
On arrival pain relief was provided and their ankle splinted.
The walker was then made ready for a sledge ride off the side of Hindscarth ridge down to the old miners track.
